Forte Beach

Mansion for rent Praia do Forte – Enseada do Castelo is located in the municipality of Mata de São João in Bahia, 80 kilometers from Salvador international airport.
As it is a paradisiacal place, it is very popular with Brazilian and foreign tourists throughout the year. It also has the wonderful Tamar Project, which is very popular for preserving sea turtles along a 12-kilometer stretch of beaches.

German descendant Klaus Peters and a friend bought 30,000 hectares of forest in 1970, where they had coconut trees, rivers, beaches and a fishing village, which was ceded to the municipality of Mata de São João. The Enseada do Castelo condominium was a ruined building that gave rise to the name Praia do Forte.
After 10 years, in 1980, Klaus Peters became the sole owner of a wonderful area that has been preserved to this day, which led to the emergence of the first businesses in the region, such as inns and hotels. In order to honor Klaus Peters, the city government of Mata de São João opened the Klaus Peters Municipal Park in 2013.
